Tameo Kits’ World Champion Tameo (WCT) series represents the top of the range. WCT kits are full detail, super kits in 1/43 scale featuring innovative design and the latest manufacturing techniques. Thus it is with great excitement that we review a new addition to this collection. WCT 85 recreates the McLaren MP4/2B as raced in the 1985 Monaco GP. This race saw eventual world champion Alain Prost secure victory in a car that is the quintessential 1980’s F1 monoposto – turbo powered, instantly recognisable body shape and bold, iconic livery. Let’s open the box …
Inside the familiar, sturdy cardboard box are neatly packed model parts. The main components are cast in white metal, with rubber tyres, photo etch parts, pre-shaped photo etch for wing elements, various smaller detail items included, as well as full colour instructions and two sheets of decals.
The decal placement guide also provides a great pre-view of the completed model.
