assembly instructions

TMK316
The 1982 Ferrari 126 C2 is a Formula 1 single-seater that competed in 1982 and, in its ‘B’ version, in the first half of 1983. Designed by the British engineer Harvey Postlethwhite, an expert who had previously designed the Wolf, an astonishing car that challenged Niki Lauda for the title in 1977, driven by the South African driver Jody Scheckter. The 1982 Ferrari 126 C2, an extremely effective and competitive single-seater from both a mechanical and aerodynamic standpoint, secured Ferrari the Constructors’ Championship, though it failed to win the Drivers’ Championship due to the serious accidents involving its drivers, Gilles Villeneuve and Didier Pironi. Gilles Villeneuve, a driver loved by all, brave and proud, lost his life during practice for the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix at the Zolder circuit. A misunderstanding with German driver Jochen Mass caused a terrible accident that left the Canadian driver with no hope of survival. The same fate befell his team-mate Didier Pironi, who was the victim of a violent and bloody crash during practice for the 1982 German Grand Prix at the Hockenheim circuit. He did not lose his life in the crash, but his career was cut short by serious leg injuries. This kit features the version from the ill-fated German Grand Prix, won by Frenchman Patrick Tambay at the wheel of the only remaining Ferrari following Pironi’s crash the previous day.
