Fu la sesta prova del mondiale 1968 e vide la vittoria di Jacky Ickx su Ferrari 312 F1-68, seguito da John Surtees e da Jackie Stewart. Si è trattato della prima vittoria in Formula 1 del campione belga e l'inizio di una carriera vincente inimitabile. La gara venne funestata da un incidente mortale che coinvolse il pilota francese Jo Schlesser, perito nell'incendio della sua Honda dopo lo schianto contro il terrapieno all'esterno della curva "Six Frères". La Ferrari 312 F1gareggiò tra il 1966 e il 1969. Sin dal suo debutto si dimostrò più sfortunata che competitiva, tanto che in quattro anni di attività vinse solo tre gran premi nel 1966: il Gran Premio del Belgio con Jonh Surtees, il Gran Premio di Italia con Ludovico Scarfiotti ed il Gran Premio di Francia nel 1968, la versione scelta per il nostro kit. Per quanto partita tra le prime posizioni nella maggior parte delle gare (comprese sette pole position), raramente riuscì a terminare la corsa. Il 1968 fu comunque un anno storico in quanto vide l'introduzione dell'alettone posteriore proprio con la Ferrari 312 F1-68. It was the sixth round of the 1968 World Championship and saw Jacky Ickx take victory in a Ferrari 312 F1-68, followed by John Surtees and Jackie Stewart. This was the Belgian champion’s first Formula 1 victory and the start of an unrivalled winning career. The race was marred by a fatal accident involving the French driver Jo Schlesser, who died in the fire that engulfed his Honda after crashing into the embankment on the outside of the ‘Six Frères’ corner. The Ferrari 312 F1 competed between 1966 and 1969. From its debut, it proved more unlucky than competitive, so much so that in four years of racing it won only three Grands Prix in 1966: the Belgian Grand Prix with John Surtees, the Italian Grand Prix with Ludovico Scarfiotti and the French Grand Prix in 1968, the version chosen for our kit. Although it started from the front of the grid in most races (including seven pole positions), it rarely managed to finish the race. 1968 was nonetheless a historic year as it saw the introduction of the rear wing on the Ferrari 312 F1-68. The team ended the year with a higher points tally than the previous year (37 compared to 20), but in the constructors’ championship Ferrari finished only fourth, and the car was very often out of contention for victory.{:}
